THE SCREENWRITING NAVIGATOR
Personal Mentorship Program

Get The Help You Need To Finish Your Script!

Learning the art and science of screenwriting isn’t an easy task for anyone, but trying to teach it to yourself is next to impossible. Answer this question:
If your goal was “to lose 10 pounds and get in shape”, is it more likely to happen with a personal trainer, or by taking a class or reading a book?

Working with a coach is the fastest, most effective,
and the most efficient way to learn a new skill.

If you are feeling fear, anxiety, stress, or confusion then consider getting mentored. Learn a robust, dependable, and repeatable process from a friendly and understanding coach that will take the pressure off you and provide you with all the structure and direction you need to feel confident.

And how about having some fun along the way? That’s critical! If your creative outlet - your passion - feels like a chore, then you’re doing it wrong!

Write the screenplay you’ve always dreamed of writing - and have fun doing it!

“I teach frustrated new and emerging screenwriters how to play and be productive – at the same time.  Using fun, friendly and deeply caring coaching, I help writers find their voice, teach them a process they can count on and help them elevate their work in a way that gets industry attention.”

Jordan Christopher Morris

There isn’t a faster, more efficient or more effective way to learn than being personally mentored by someone who knows - and cares.

Your mentor will help you identify your unique creative voice, help you identify what your screenwriting “specialty” will be, and will walk you step-by-step through weekly or bi-weekly homework assignments that will train you to write an effective, feature-length screenplay.

Stop stumbling around in the dark and get all the training, support, and encouragement you need to succeed!

  • WEEKLY 1:1 COACHING SESSIONS

    @ $1,000 USD per month

Note: Both options include being guided through our “STORY FORGE” process (which you will then be able to reproduce on your own) with fresh homework assignments after each session and the option to communicate with your coach via email if you need more support, insights or answers between sessions

Generally speaking, it will take about 5-6 months to complete an original screenplay from absolute scratch, but YOU set the pace, so YOUR productivity and drive will ultimately determine how long the experience of completing your screenplay will take.

Personal, affordable, one-on-one guidance and support from a professional screenwriting instructor

  • Get the specific help YOU need to complete YOUR screenplay concept

  • Tailored to YOU and YOUR creative voice

  • Far less expensive than traditional mentorship training

  • We begin with one two-hour video conference call. All subsequent calls (weekly or bi-weekly) will be scheduled for one hour.

  • You decide when to complete the assigned work and you dictate the pace forward

  • You retain 100% ownership of all work generated

  • You may terminate or pause the program at any time without obligation.

  • BONUS: With the purchase of this service, you will also receive the entire FUNDAMENTALS OF SCREENWRITING TRAINING PROGRAM at no additional cost.

The five stages of the process are:

  • PHASE ONE:
Who are you, what is your “brand”, how will your personal life experience inform your voice as a screenwriter and what do you want to be known for as a screenwriter?

  • PHASE TWO:
What currently successful screenwriters would you like to emulate? Who is creating work that inspires you/feels similar to what you aspire to write?

  • PHASE THREE:
What would you like to write? What story ideas do you have that would make a great film?

  • PHASE FOUR:
Using TSF’s unique, “STORY FORGE” methodology, we will take your loose ideas and create a timely, relevant, moving, and commercially-viable concept capable of becoming a successful film.

  • PHASE FIVE:
Once we’ve completed the FORGE process and have the 30-40-page “bible” of your concept, we then begin the process of building out your story idea from a robust outline and treatment into a full screenplay using an effective and easily manageable process that you will be able to repeat on your own*.
(*This segment comprises most of the program. You will be asked questions and receive assignments/insights via email, moving forward slowly and methodically only when both you and your instructor are satisfied with the creative and commercial merits of your work)

THE FOUR PILLARS OF SCREENWRITING

These are the areas of expertise that all screenwriters need to excel at to find success:

  1. MINDCRAFT
How to maintain a healthy mindset and healthy expectations through all the many ups and downs

  2. STORYCRAFT
How to craft timely, relevant, emotionally impactful, and commercially-viable stories that audiences will go out of their way to pay for

  3. PAGECRAFT
How to effectively present your work on the page in the completely unique, counter-intuitive language of screenplay formatting

  4. PROCRAFT
How to navigate the industry, behave like a professional and ultimately get paid for your work

When you work with The Screenplay Factory in any capacity you will receive some training and insights on all four subjects, but understand that our main focus will be on STORYCRAFT (which we address exclusively with our unique STORY FORGE process) and PAGECRAFT (Our ongoing NAVIGATOR program covers both).

NOTE: Although our focus will be on creating a feature (movie) screenplay, much of what you learn will also be applicable to television, novels, short stories, comics and graphic novels.
